October 15, 2026: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) is strengthening India–Japan energy cooperation through strategic collaboration in the LPG sector.

Shri Subhankar Sen, Director (Marketing), BPCL; Shri Sanjay Choubey, Head LPG West, BPCL; and Shri Mohit Kumar Agarwal from the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoP&NG) met with Shri Tatsuya Hagamuchi of Astomos Energy, Japan, along with other industry members.

The discussions focused on exploring opportunities to leverage Japan’s strategic LPG storage infrastructure. The talks covered how strategic storage and diversified supply options can strengthen supply chain resilience, enhance energy security, and support reliable LPG availability amid evolving global energy dynamics.
