Oil & Gas business of Vedanta Limited stands demerged with effect from 1st May 2026. Participating Interest of Vedanta Limited (VEDL) in the blocks, including all assets, contracts, permits, licenses, rights, liabilities and obligations relating to the oil & gas business will be transferred to a new entity Vedanta Oil & Gas Limited. Vedanta Oil and Gas Limited (VOGL) seeks strategic partners with proven capabilities to deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions across the entire upstream value chain for its operated exploration and development acreages.
The scope encompasses but is not limited to leveraging existing subsurface datasets, managing the new data acquisition if deemed required, generating and mature exploration prospects, de-risk drilling opportunities, optimize field development planning, drive sustainable hydrocarbon production, reserves growth, and long-term value creation. Interested companies with a successful track record in executing similar projects are invited to participate in the pre-qualification process for future International Competitive Bidding (ICB) opportunities. The opportunity covers VOGL-operated onshore and offshore acreages across Barmer & Cambay Basin, Northeast, Offshore asset in East and West Coasts, together with PSC areas including RJ-ON-90/1 and the PKGM-1 Ravva Block.
Indicative Asset Portfolio and Opportunities
Opportunities may arise across exploration, appraisal & development in assets operated by Vedanta Oil & Gas.
1. Onshore asset - Barmer, Cambay, North East OALP & DSF Blocks and RJ-ON-90/1 (PSC Block)
2. Offshore asset - East and West Coast OALP & DSF Blocks, PKGM-1 (Ravva PSC Block)
Scope of Expertise Sought
Partners should have capabilities of the following areas:
- Seismic data acquisition for onshore and/or offshore including transition zone environments
- Seismic data processing and interpretation
- Geological, geophysical and petrophysical studies
- Basin and prospect evaluation
- Reservoir characterisation and modelling
- Integrated subsurface studies and well planning with geo-mechanics and pore-pressure studies
- PVT Analysis, geochemical analysis, core and coring services
- Resource and reserve assessment
- Field development planning
- Production optimisation and recovery enhancement
- Application of advanced digital, AI/ML and geoscience technologies
Pre-qualification Criteria
Interested parties should meet the following minimum requirements:
- Successful completion of at least three (03) projects of similar nature during the last10 years
- Demonstrated capability / experience in executing integrated subsurface studies for exploration, appraisal and development projects
- Availability of qualified manpower, hardware, software and technical resources required for execution of the scope
- Experience in seismic data acquisition and processing for both onshore and/or offshore including transition zone environments
- Strong HSE and quality management practices
