October 9, 2026: Indian Gas Exchange Limited (IGX) reported strong growth in gas trading volumes during the first half of FY27 and a record-breaking performance in September 2026.

H1FY27 Highlights: 

Traded Volume: 69.52 million MMBtu (1,751.88 MMSCM) — highest-ever half-yearly volume
Growth: Up 70.78% year-on-year
Trades Executed: 1,351
Composition: 57.13% free-market gas
42.87% domestic HPHT gas at ceiling price

Most Liquid Contracts:
Monthly contracts led with 49.11% share, followed by Balance-of-Month (18.62%), Daily (9.31%), and Day-Ahead (8.43%).
