September 26, 2026: India's Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. issued a spot tender to purchase a November-delivery liquefied natural gas cargo priced against the Japan Korea Marker, a rare step for the company, according to a source familiar with the matter cited by Platts on Sept. 23. 

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, reported that the refiner sought 3.1 to 3.8 trillion British thermal units of LNG with a 10 percent operational tolerance for delivery to Dahej, offering delivery windows of Nov. 21, Nov. 23 to 24, Nov. 26, or Nov. 29 to 30. 

Sellers were required to submit offers linked to December JKM prices, according to a tender document seen by Platts. 

The tender was set to close Sept. 24 at 2:30 p.m. India Standard Time, with same-day validity until 5:30 p.m. India Standard Time.

BPCL had not replied to a Platts query about the tender details.
